How it works
Choose an image for your personal profile banner. This page starts with the 1584 × 396 preset.
Inspect the wide preview and drag to keep your intended subject visible. Check the top and bottom carefully.
Resize and download the JPG, then check its placement in your LinkedIn profile. Expand Other sizes & batch export if you also need another output.
Why use this tool
A profile banner is an unusually wide composition. This page helps you see what survives a 4:1 crop before you download, so a photograph or branded graphic can work as a background without stretching. The output is a 1584 × 396 JPG; it is not a Company Page banner preset or a simulation of LinkedIn's profile interface.
Design for a shallow, wide frame
The preset contains 1584 pixels across and 396 pixels vertically. A portrait or square photograph will lose much of its top and bottom when it fills this shape. Choose a source with useful horizontal space, such as a landscape, work environment, or a simple graphic with room around the subject.
For example, a full-length portrait may leave only a narrow strip of the person visible. A different source with the person smaller in the composition can work better. Dragging changes which strip is retained; it cannot add missing scenery or fit every part of a tall image into the banner.
Leave room for the profile interface
Your profile photo and interface elements can overlap or compete with parts of the background image. Avoid placing a logo, name, or essential message tightly against an edge. Leave generous clear space, especially around areas that will sit near your profile photo.
The ImgZelo preview shows the exported image, not LinkedIn's complete page. It does not guarantee that a fixed region is unobstructed on every device. After uploading, inspect your actual profile on desktop and phone and return to the source if a key element is obscured.
Keep details readable after cropping
Inspect the crop for cut-off heads, incomplete words, and product labels. A short phrase in larger type usually works better than a paragraph squeezed into a shallow banner. If the crop removes part of an existing design, revise the original layout rather than accepting half-visible lettering.
Start from a clear source, save the original separately, and review the downloaded JPG before uploading it. Enlarging a tiny image will not create extra detail. Transparent pixels are placed on white. Processing happens locally in your browser without uploading the selected image to ImgZelo servers.
Frequently asked questions
What file does this page produce?
A 1584 × 396 JPG with a 4:1 ratio, intended for preparing a personal profile background.
Is this also a Company Page banner tool?
This preset is for a personal profile background. Check the requirements of your intended placement before using it elsewhere.
Does the preview show my profile photo overlap?
No. It shows the exported crop only. Check the uploaded banner in your actual LinkedIn profile on desktop and mobile.
Can I keep the entire portrait photograph?
A tall source cannot fill this wide frame without losing content. Choose another composition if cropping would remove essential details.
Will the exported file follow my adjusted crop?
Yes. The preview and export use the same crop position. Center, Top, and Bottom provide starting points, and you can continue dragging afterward.
